Technology Specialist (J2EE application server/Weblogic)

Period: 2010-07-05 to 2010-11-30 with the possibility of extension

Working location: Burnaby, BC

Supporting the development and testing lifecycle of the SDSE project

Duties
* installing and configuring Weblogic 11 application servers in both clustered and non-clustered configurations
* environment setup, maintenance, and support of J2EE-based applications
* deploying code modules to application servers using automation
* triaging environment issues
* extending automation scripts as required

Skill Required

* demonstrated experience with an enterprise grade J2EE application server (Weblogic strongly preferred)
* good understanding of J2EE design patterns and underlying components
* solid technical triage skills
* good verbal and written communication
* self starter with ability to diagnose complex technical issues
* some UNIX scripting experience
* J2EE development experience a strong asset
