We offer a unique opportunity for a select Sales professional in Alberta to join a highly successful and truly entrepreneurial business team within the 3M ESPE division. Successful candidates will be charged with driving the adoption of the Lava™ Chairside Oral Scanner C.O.S. (digital impressioning system) to dentists. In addition, the candidate will also support the Lava™ Crown & Bridge portfolio to both dental labs and dentists. The Digital Oral Care (DOC) Specialist will individually manage local market product launches in concert with the clinical and training team members, as well as other key members of the 3M ESPE local sales matrix. This position will serve as the point person for the coordination of this team effort toward delivery of sales objectives around all of 3M's digital dentistry products.
The DOC Specialist is a vital member of our commercial team. Selected candidates will enjoy a broad range of exciting and challenging duties. The main duties will include:
Responsibilities:
•Leading relationships with our established network of Authorized Lava Milling/Design centers in the Alberta market
•Developing relationships with other target local dental laboratories in an effort to broaden 3M's footprint in the Alberta market
•Leveraging existing relationships with local dental professionals
•Partnering successfully with 3M dental operatory and preventive care sales professionals in support of pull-through efforts on all of our digital dentistry technologies
•Performing effective customer segmentation and targeting at a territory level
•Organizing and leading local product sales seminars
•Performing effective product demonstrations and learning workshops
•Making follow up calls as necessary in order to close new business
•Ensuring post sale product usage and comfort
•Becoming proficient in the use of the digital hardware in order to assist with customer training and perform second tier customer support
•Representing customer needs concerning ongoing product development and marketing program development
•Participating as needed in local and regional trade shows
•Meeting sales goals
Qualifications
Basic Minimum Requirements:
•Passion for the role
•Bachelor's degree
•Highest personal and professional integrity
•Expert consultative selling skills, 5+ years of successful Dental Sales experience minimum.
•Demonstrated consistent performance against objectives
•Demonstrable clinical dental knowledge base. Candidate must be able to speak knowledgably about dental products and procedures in the Dental market
•Candidate must be proficient in making clinical and technical selling presentations to small to mid-sized groups of dental professionals
•Competency with computers and technology, including a high level of proficiency in office desktop applications (Word, Excel, Power Point) as well as internet research and email
•Must be self motivated with excellent time management skills
•Must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
•Exceptional drive, creative energy, and outstanding people skills
•Entrepreneurial instincts and comfort with change as experienced by growing organizations
•Strong organizational skills, including administrative skills
•Must have a current valid driver's license (position includes use of a company vehicle)
•Significant overnight travel required (up to 40%)
