Job Description:
Join us as a Senior Quality Engineer on a high energy team to design, build, and test one of our new state of the art Human Capital Management java-based web applications. This is an opportunity to work with the latest web development and testing technologies. Working as part of a team that does what it takes to ensure success, you will test this multi-tier internet application to ensure high quality, reliability, and scalability.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Creation of test scenarios and test cases by analyzing the functional specifications.
2. Testing web based applications using available test cases and validating applications for the expected behavior.
3. Creating and executing performance, automated, and manual test scripts.
4. Logging defects, verifying client reported issues, and work towards verifcation and closure of fixed defects.
5. Successfully works on multiple concurrent work requests.
6. Effectively prioritizes and executes tasks in a high-pressure environment with a strong customer service orientation.
7. Provides clear, accurate and prompt communication to leadership and management teams.
8. Works as a team player in a global project team environment split between India and the U.S.
9. Works closely with various stake holders such as Development, Technical Writing, Product Management, and support teams to ensure quality deliverables.

Desired Profile:
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
1. B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech./MCA in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field, from a reputed university with an aggregate of at least 65%.
2. 4-7 years relevant experience.
3. Good knowledge and experience on performance, load, stress testing or functional test automation, especially through use of HP Load Runner.
4. Good analytical skills to extrapolate information and troubleshoot problems.
5. Experience on creating test scenarios and test cases from functional specifications.
6. Hands on experience in different forms of testing (especially testing web-based applications / enterprise-level commercial applications).
7. Experience working with defect tracking and configuration tools.
8. Knowledge on SDLC, STLC, Defect Life Cycle.
9. Excellent English communication skills.
10. Able to work independently, take ownership of a module as well as coordinate between onsite and offshore teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
1. Back end data verification and validation (especially SQL).
2. Certifying and validating supported browsers, certifying and testing new browsers.
3. Certified tester, e.g. Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE) or Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA) Or ISTQB.
4. Exposure to Human Resources domain a plus.
5. Should be team oriented, able to work in a dynamic environment, proactive, and a quick learner.
